Client Overview
Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families.
The Challenge
As a mature organization moving into a new phase of leadership, they needed an explainer video that captured the timeless values of the Ranch and clearly communicated their new, expanded services.
We worked closely with their team to ensure the video spoke to the pain points families feel when they're faced with challenges, while still conveying a message of hope and the possibility of renewal.
Research & Strategy
Charting a new path forward
Through our extensive research, including multiple trips to the Ranch property and reading the founder’s memoir, On Eagles’ Wings, we took the time to understand the organization’s rich history and current challenges.
In the process, we learned that for decades, Eagle Ranch has been known in the region for its signature Residential Program for boys.
But over the years, they’ve added numerous programs and have become a hub for healing families. Today, in addition to their signature Residential Program for boys and girls, the Ranch provides First Step Counseling, a Day School program, and Outpatient Counseling.
Storyboarding and Illustrationos
Telling a cohesive story through custom graphics and illustrations
The video’s visual language was meticulously crafted to communicate empathy, safety, and hope—both for children and families alike. Working within the existing brand and palette, we developed a host of custom graphics that brought to life each of the Ranch’s core programs.
Scripting
Communicating new offerings while staying true to the heart of the brand
The Eagle Ranch team needed an engaging, informational video that clearly explained their expanded offerings while still embodying their brand promise of hope, healing, and renewal.
In the scripting phase, we worked closely with the Eagle Ranch team to ensure the video spoke to the pain points families feel when they're faced with challenges, while still conveying a message of hope, confidence, and renewal.
Animation
Bringing the story to life through movement
Using smooth transitions, vibrant yet calming colors, and symbolic imagery, the animation brought the story to life in an engaging and approachable way. Each scene was carefully designed to convey empathy and authority, seamlessly aligning with the voiceover to create a cohesive and emotionally impactful narrative. The result was a visually compelling piece that resonated with audiences and effectively communicated Eagle Ranch’s message.
Voice Talent
Striking the right balance between empathy and expertise
Selecting the right voice talent was essential to capturing the heartfelt and uplifting tone of the video. We chose a warm, relatable voice that conveyed empathy and hope, resonating with Eagle Ranch’s mission to bring healing to families in crisis. The voiceover added depth and humanity to the visuals, guiding viewers through the narrative with authenticity and emotional connection.
